Blueprinting Next-Generation Regulatory Technology (RegTech) for a Central Bank
The Context & Challenge
Central banks globally face the monumental task of transitioning from retrospective, manual regulatory oversight to proactive, data-driven, real-time supervision. As part of a major national digital transformation mandate, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) required a comprehensive operational and technological blueprint to transition its Policy & Regulation functions into a modern E-Supervision model.
The challenge lay in harmonising complex, legacy regulatory policies with cutting-edge RegTech capabilities, requiring a leader who could bridge the gap between technical developers, policy experts, and institutional leadership.
